Is Daxxify right for you?
It’s time to Daxxi-try the new botox filler, if it is right for you, of course. Let’s dive into the filling characteristics behind the new botox and determine whether this new product is truly the new move.
Daxxify is an FDA approved injectable medicine for smoothing dynamic facial wrinkles. These wrinkles can appear around the mouth, edges of the eye, frowning and furrowing of the brow, and other facial lines. Around 80% of people that use Daxxify report seeing no wrinkles for up to four months after the treatment. Around half of the participants report seeing no wrinkles for up to six months after the treatment. It is changing the neuromodulator market by increasing the longevity of neuromodulators, one treatment at a time. Other treatments last three to five months, with the certainty of three months, but Daxxify is different. The six-month treatment leaves patients feeling satisfied with lasting results that lead to fewer revisits over time. Specifically, some people even report results for as long as up to nine months after the treatment.

Now that we know what it is, who is it right for?

Daxxify may be more appropriate for those who have tried other products in the past and have not been satisfied with the outcome. Because Daxxify lasts longer than the other injectables, it is important that you understand the expected outcome, in order to be happy with the results. Doctors recommend that you try out other short-term products before Daxxify before taking the plunge.

Additionally, patients must avoid taking any kind of blood thinners before getting the treatment because this will minimize the chance of bruising at the injection site. It is also important to note that some of the side effects of headaches and eyelid ptosis are common in patients. The results are small and only 2-6% of patients report experiencing these effects, overall. Another note of the “luxury” treatment is its expensive price. However, the treatment may be needed much less than the traditional treatments, but overall will equate to a larger price ticket in the long run. The price depends on the provider initiating the treatment, but will likely translate to higher costs compared to the other neuromodulators.

When will it be available?

Daxxify was approved by the FDA on September 8th, 2022 and has been available for commercial launch since the beginning of 2023. Today, it is widely available at multiple practices around the country. To learn more, visit our website or the official Daxxify website for further information.
